The Official Anthony Head Site MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS

Music for Elevators CD Cover

'Music for Elevators' is a unique collaborative project between acclaimed electronic producer/composer George Sarah and Anthony Stewart Head. The album has a subtle electronic feel and is a sophisticated, stylish piece of work.

Anthony has achieved international acclaim in numerous theatre, film and TV productions, but is probably best known for his role as "Giles" on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Despite his critical success with acting, Anthony originally intended to pursue a career in music. He attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and got his first show business break as "Jesus" in Godspell in the West End of London. He also starred in the London stage musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show as "Dr. Frank-N-Furter." He has also showcased his vocal talents on occasional episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

The combination of Anthony's rich vocals and lyrical talent and George Sarah's orchestral electronica create a rich sound.

Music for Elevators also features guest appearances by other Buffy cast members including Amber Benson, James Marsters and Joss Whedon.

Q & A with George Sarah:

Q: How did you meet Anthony and come to work with him?

A: I met Anthony briefly when I was on the set for my appearances in season four of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, however, it was the record label who came up with the idea of us working together and they are credited in orchestrating everything.

Q: Did you enjoy the experience?

A: Yes very much.

Q: Did you write together?

A: About half of the record was written together. There are a couple of covers, a piece by Anthony's Mom and a few older songs by Anthony alone.

Q: What is your favourite track and why?

A: Qu'est ce que j'ai fait. I just simply enjoy listening to it.

Q: What comments would you like to make about yours and Anthony's musical styles?

A: Just that we are both fans of music and appreciate various styles and genre's.

Many thanks to George Sarah for taking the time to answer some questions.
